Your 'target profile' on LearnerShape is the set of skills that you aim to attain. You might seek these skills for a current or future job, or any other reason -- maybe just to learn something new! The target profile can include skills that you already have. The more you progress towards your target, the more overlap there will be with current skills.
Target profiles are managed in the 'Your target skills' section of the Skills Explorer on the My Skills page. When you first access LearnerShape your target profile is a blank, and called 'My Personal Profile'.
You can customize your target profile by adding skills individually (using the 'Add skills' button) or by selecting a profile using the 'Manage target profiles' button. The 'Manage target profiles' button allows you to:
choose a profile set by your organization
create, rename and delete personal profiles (when you add a skill to an organization profile, it automatically becomes a personal profile called 'Custom profile').
This allows you to experiment with different target profiles and see which one works best for you.
If you are part of an organization:
your administrator can create and share new organization profiles (see Managing target profiles for details)
your administrator will likely have the ability to choose or change your target profile (see Managing organization members for details).
