LearnerShape depends upon you to record your learning process, providing tools to make it easy for you to do so and keep track of your learning. (Eventually, it may be possible for us to monitoring learning progress automatically, but for the time being this is not practical or sufficiently accurate across the full range of courses that we support.)
There are two important ways that you should record your learning progress:
Course progress. When you start studying a course, you can tell us by clicking on the course on your My Courses page and then changing the drop-down status menu from 'Not started' to 'In progress'. More important, when you finish the course, you should mark it as 'Completed'. This course status information is recorded in your learning history.
Skill progress. When you have learned enough to progress to a new skill level, you should change the skill level on your My Skills page. You may want to use tests provided by your organization or a third party to assess your skill level. LearnerShape is not a testing and assessment company, but we plan to partner with such companies in the future.
