Workforce planning

The workforce planning feature is at the heart of the LearnerShape platform. It helps an organization to assess which individuals are best-suited for which target jobs.

Using the workforce planning feature involves these simple steps, starting on the Workforce page of the Organization view:

The resulting page shows which people in your organization are best suited for each target profile, based on LearnerShape's analysis. Click on each target profile to see the list of recommendations for that profile.

If you wish to shortlist a person for learning one of the profiles you have identified, click 'Shortlist' next to their name. You can view all shortlists in the Shortlists section on the Workforce page. When viewing a shortlist, you can remove a person from a shortlist by clicking 'Remove' next to their name.

Once you have decided that a person should pursue learning on a target profile, you can change their current target profile to that new target profile on the Members page. We recommend that you discuss with the person before making such a change. (Generally, we do not recommend that you assign individuals to jobs solely based upon LearnerShape workforce planning recommendations -- there are many other organizational and human factors that you may wish to consider.)
